SRAM DB8 Disc Brake
The new DB8 disc brake is a simple, robust, and powerful brake for riders who prefer to set and forget - just grab your bike and go. The low maintenance Mineral Oil system uses proven lever technologies and features easy adjustment access and superior ergonomic comfort. Code-like power is no surprise, as DB8 utilizes similar caliper architecture and existing brake pads.
SRAM partnered with Maxima to create a mineral oil designed for use with the DB8 brake. Intended for hassle-free infrequent usage, this mineral oil maintains its performance over long periods of time without the need for bleeding or flushing the lines. SRAM recommends that you bleed your mineral oil brakes at least once every two years to ensure optimum braking performance versus once every year for a DOT fluid disc brake. If you ride frequently or regularly ride aggressive terrain, it is recommended to bleed your brakes more frequently.

Additional Notes
DB8 is not compatible with Bleeding Edge. DB8 lever and caliper feature unique bleed ports that will only interface with the SRAM Mineral Oil bleed kit. This is to ensure that incompatible SRAM DOT fluid bleed kits cannot be used.
Use only Maxima Mineral Brake Oil with SRAM Mineral Oil hydraulic brakes. Do not use any other oil or fluid; it will damage the system and make the brakes unsafe to use. SRAM mineral oil brakes are not compatible with SRAM DOT bleed kits and fittings or DOT 5.1 or 4 brake fluid.
